Dear Shelley,
Bill and I thought you would like to
see our Greta. She is Lance and Tyrah's
puppy from Ed and Elaine's Whisperwind's.
She has the most wonderful disposition and is so
very beautiful. She's healthy and smart and I
guess you can tell we love her and would highly
recommend the King Shepherd breed to anyone. .
Thanks for all of your work on behalf of the King
Shepherd breed.
Sincerely,
Bill and Ada

Shelley,
Both Joel and
I would like to thank you from the bottom of our
hearts for choosing Axel for us. He is what we
hoped for x's 100! It was worth the year + you
and I spent talking! So glad to finally be back
and settled at home in Canada and be able to
have a puppy in our lives! His personality so
suits ours it is uncanny. He is definitely
a "moms boy" even at 4.5 months but Joel and him
are best friends too. He follows me everywhere-
sometimes I think just to make sure I am ok. Ah
but I don't mind, I figure its prepping me for
the baby's arrival in a few weeks! He
sleeps when I sleep and when I have lots of
energy we race around the house together. I
can't travel too fast at this late stage and of
course he's getting so fast now! I keep telling
him to watch out- another couple of months I'll
be good to go. Neither Joel nor I ever
thought it would be this easy to raise a puppy-
but he is the most amazing creature to enter our
lives.
We have been
having a ball at puppy class each week,
socialization and obedience are going great -
however he's getting too big to race around with
the other puppies- he's a bit too gung ho now
and awkward still and the poor little ones are
not sure what to make of him when he tramples
them. But if we put him with the adult dogs they
are too rough for him - still that in between
stage! Since we are so secluded here and it's
just the two of us, we take him out to different
parks and everyones house when we go visiting to
help him get used to new things. In fact
yesterday we took him to a big fair for a few
hours and we were so proud of him- he did great.
People kept commenting on how handsome he is
(and boy is he EVER) and several even wanted to
know where and who we got him from- of course I
told them, good job I can remember your website.
He still hates
the vacuum cleaner but then so do I! LOL
Anyhow I will
keep you posted on his progress and I hope you
are doing well yourself. I'll give you a call
soon and let you know if Axel's new playmate is
a boy or a girl!
warmly,
Wendy & Joel

Hi Shelley,
I just tried
to send you pics to this address but they
came back, I thought I'd try and see if this
would go. Zoe is doing great she was just
spayed 2 weeks ago, everything went fine.
she is just a little kissing machine. I
guess I really can't say little, she is 27in
and 73lbs as of 2 weeks ago at 6 mos! I am
hoping her coat will get longer do you think
it will? guess you"ll have to wait for the
pics to tell me that. Everyone that meets
her loves her and I will definitely be
getting another one in the future! wee are
going to go to puppy school again for the
socialization with other dogs. She has been
trying to show she is a big girl with other
dogs and I want to make sure she has manners
before she really is a big girl!! Hope all
is well with you and yours and please let me
know what you think of her, thank you,
Karen

Dear
Shelley,
Sorry it's been so long since I've written you,
but we have had a very busy 6 months. Zeus has
grown into a beautiful 18 month old puppy (he is
all puppy too, just not in size!) His
personality is as sweet as we had hoped he would
be, although he is quite protective of us & our
home. As a matter of fact, he saved our house
from burning to the ground!
In early June, some maniac propped a mattress up
against our front door & lit it on fire (at
about 2:30AM). Zeus alerted my husband & he got
us all up & out of the house. The fire & police
departments came & said that if it had burned
another few minutes, our whole house would have
been damaged. As it was, we had some smoke
damage & area around our front door had to be
replaced. He is now infamous in Novi, not only
for his size, buthis lifesaving ability! We
will be forever grateful to you for sending him
to us last April. He is truly a God send!
Love,
The Hobarts

| Hi
Shelley,
Warrior and Shandari go to the Vet tomorrow so I
will be able to send you the latest in terms of
their weight. Mea likes to take them to Pet Smart to
socialize them. All she hears is "oh my goodness, he
is going to be huge!" They both are such
wonderful dogs! He is just too cool. Such a
mister casual, nothing seems to bother him. I
hope you enjoy the pictures.
Take care,
Bob

Had the dogs out
swimming in the river this morning after
frisbees. Its the best exercise for these fast
growing pups. No impact on their joints and Seb
has developed great shoulder muscles since we
have been doing this. Saw another pup on the
files going to be trained for SAR in Canada,
that's great. I believe Kings have excellent
working potential as a breed. Would be
interested to hear from any other people using
KS for SAR or other work.
New pictures of
Sebastian attached. He will be nine months (on
the 24th) and weighed 90 pounds today. He is
doing great. Still has one tip on the left ear
supported but I think the bend is just about
gone. I have kept the moleskin in place and it
seems to be working. He is such a wonderful
baby. I will try to post a picture on the site
if you like, let me know. He is so beautiful.
Hope all is well with you and your family.
Take care,
Cathie

Hello Shelley,
I hope all is well. I just wanted to let you know
that Porsha completed a 14-day training program with
flying grades. The master trainer marveled at her
temperament and intelligence. Even at just 8 months,
she shows signs of championship obedience. The
trainers as well as the breeders are quite amazed by
the "NO BARKING". They all said they have never
trained a shepherd with porsha's temperament; I of
course reminded them that she is a KING SHEPHERD.
She really has changed or grown since we left her
two weeks ago and now does the following commands on
and off lease; sit, sit stay, down, down stay, heel,
come, go, wait and… no more jumping or mouthing.
Well I guess you can tell I am pleased with the
results, but then again we supplied the trainers
with an excellent prospective pupil ...didn't we
(smile). Attached is a copy of her
diploma/certification.
Take care,
Ernie

Shelley,
Butkis is truly an amazing animal.
He is the ultimate athlete. . .can jump six feet in
the air, loves to catch the frisbee and loves to
swim. And to top it all off, he is extremely
affectionate. Butkis is adored more than
anyone could ever imagine!
